Local authorities are on the hunt for a suspect involved in a vehicle burglary at a nail salon on Spring Stuebner Road; the break-in occurred this past Tuesday, and Constable Mark Herman's Office is spearheading the investigation. According to a Facebook post by the precinct, the thief shattered a car window to access the vehicle's contents, swiftly stealing undisclosed items before fleeing the scene. Surveillance footage obtained captures a white Chevrolet Impala, identifiable by its tinted windows and chrome door handles, missing a front license plate and a hub cap on the driver's side left tire, paused near the victim's car as the heist unfolds.
Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, ranging from his teens to early twenties, distinguished by his attire: purple shorts paired with a black hoodie, black shoes accentuated with crew high white socks, and black gloves to presumably avoid leaving fingerprints. It was observed that after executing the theft, the individual sprinted back to the Impala, which was notably a 2010s model, taking refuge in the passenger front seat and the car fled the scene it isn't clear if he was working alone or with accomplices.
The Precinct 4 Constable's Office is reaching out for public assistance in identifying the suspect behind this car burglary. "If you have any information regarding this case or the identity of these suspects, you are urged to contact our dispatch at 281-376-3472 or your local law enforcement," according to a statement by Constable Mark Herman in a Facebook post.
Local law enforcement continues to emphasize the significance of reporting any suspicious activities and encourages residents to keep personal items out of sight when leaving vehicles unattended as such precautionary measures might deter potential thieves.
