
The search for Mischa Johnson, a 19-year-old pregnant woman missing from Schofield Barracks, has taken a sad turn as authorities arrested her husband in connection with her disappearance. Private First Class Dewayne Arthur Johnson II is now being held in military pretrial confinement. According to a statement from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division received by KITV, "an individual has been placed into military custody in the Mischa Johnson missing person case." Mischa has been missing since July 31 and her family continues to seek information leading to her whereabouts.
Details about the case remain scant but officials describe Mischa as Filipino, 5-foot-2 in height, and weighing around 170 pounds. She has a noticeable dragon tattoo on her back, is six months pregnant, and was known to frequent the Ewa Villages, and Waikiki areas. The clothing she wore at the time of her disappearance remains unknown. Moreover, the 25th Infantry Division spokesperson confirmed to Hawaii News Now, that the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division has offered a $10,000 reward for information that helps locate her.
The military has emphasized their commitment to finding Mischa and providing support to her family. In a statement, the Army's 25th Infantry Division said, "Our efforts remain focused on locating Mischa, support to her family, and the safety and security of all personnel at US Army Hawaii installations," as per KITV. PFC Johnson, from Frederick, Maryland, was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division in June 2023 and works as a Cavalry Scout.
