Early Thursday morning, a fatal collision occurred on the I-695 outer loop near Stevenson Road, claiming the life of a man. Maryland State Police were alerted about a driver traveling in the wrong direction on the highway which led to the multi-vehicle crash and subsequent closure of the roadway for approximately four hours, as reported by WBALTV.
According to CBS News Baltimore, the devastating incident left 64-year-old John Quame De Love of Hyattsville, Prince George's County, fatally wounded after his 2017 Chevy Malibu collided with a white 2021 Toyota Corolla, driving by authorities identified the driver of the Corolla as 34-year-old Liluram Paudel, of Nottingham, Baltimore County, he was transported to Sinai Hospital to receive medical treatment, the nature and severity of his injuries have not been disclosed.
Maryland State Police are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the crash, and all lanes have since reopened to traffic. As details emerge, further updates to this story may be released.
