In a string of events connected to the murder of a Leesburg store clerk, Kaili E. Dupuis surrendered to authorities on Tuesday. As reported by WFTV, Dupuis is accused of being accessory after the fact in the fatal shooting of a clerk at a store robbery on Picciola Road in June. Dupuis was taken into custody at the Lake County Jail where she is currently being held without bond.
The primary suspect in the shooting, 25-year-old Alex Lopez, was charged with murder, armed robbery, and additional firearm-related offenses. Not only Lopez but also members of his family have been implicated in the aftermath of the crime. His mother, Patricia Kinchens, 43, and sister, Breanna Lopez, 27, were arrested earlier and charged with concealing Lopez from law enforcement, according to ClickOrlando.
Details on the case continue to emerge as the Leesburg Police Department cites that all suspects connected to the May 30 crime are now accounted for. The victim, 51-year-old Raied Shihadeh, was fatally shot during the robbery at the Fast Stop Superette, a tragedy leaving the community in search of justice.
Pending court proceedings continue to evolve with Lopez slated for a plea negotiation conference on September 10.
