
A 13-year-old boy is fighting for his life in a Kalamazoo hospital after being shot on August 16. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) reported the incident occurred around 11:05 a.m. on the 1000 block of Interfaith Boulevard. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the victim with a gunshot wound and provided immediate medical attention before transporting him to the hospital, according to WZZM 13.
Details on the motives or circumstances that led to the shooting remain under investigation by the KDPS's Criminal Investigation Division, which has already interviewed several individuals and recovered a firearm believed to be involved in the shooting. According to the latest release still, no arrests have been made, as noted by WOOD TV.
