Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks is rolling out the welcome mat for locals interested in government proceedings, extending an invitation to the Elected Officials Forum slated to take place this week in Clermont. According to an announcement posted on the Lake County website, community members can join the forum on Thursday, Aug. 22, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Church at South Lake, more precisely in the South Lake Kids building, where they will find the meeting ready in the first room to the right after entering.
Attendees can expect insights from the City of Clermont Mayor Tim Murry, City Councilmen Mike Gonzalez, Sheriff Peyton Grinnell, Property Appraiser Carey Baker, and Tax Collector David Jordan. State Attorney Bill Gladson, and Representative Taylor Yarkosky, along with a representative from Daniel Webster's office, will also grace the event with their presence.
Those unable to attend but interested in the unfolding of the forum are encouraged to reach out to the representatives’ offices for summaries of the discussions or possible follow-up events. Further details on the event are available for those seeking more information.
