Early morning on Wednesday, Lake Havasu City Police arrested two individuals, Michael Seedorf, 48, and Shannon Winker, 38, both residents of the city, for a slew of drug-related offenses. During a traffic stop conducted at around 4:43 a.m. in the 2600 block of Sweetwater Avenue, the police were assisted by K-9 "Echo" who signaled the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, according to the Lake Havasu City Police Department's press release.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers found approximately a quarter pound of methamphetamine, around 500 suspected fentanyl pills, a loaded 9MM handgun, and $1,741 in cash. While talking with the driver, according to the police, the street value of the methamphetamine is estimated at $2,750, and the fentanyl pills are valued at approximately $5,000.

Seedorf and Winker are facing charges that include transportation of narcotic drugs, transportation of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Adding to her list of charges, Winker was found with two fentanyl pills during the booking process, which tacked on an introduction of contraband into a detention facility charge.

Following their initial court appearance, positioned behind a hefty $50,000 cash-only bond, Seedorf and Winker were transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, the department's Sergeant Kyle Ridgeway stated in the press release. More information about the case can be found through the department's official communication channels.
