
A somber discovery was made yesterday afternoon at Lake Mead north of Boulder Harbor, where rangers with the Lake Mead National Recreation Area recovered a body, details of which were affirmed by KTNV. Authorities indicated the time of recovery was around 3:42 p.m. and that this matter is subject to further investigation.
The search appears to have come to a close for 58-year-old Gregory Bell, the individual whose life the vast waters of Lake Mead claimed, as the Clark County Coroner's Office announced his identity the following day after the paddleboarder had been reported missing over the weekend, News3LV mentions that this discovery brings a tragic resolution to the search for Bell.
In the wake of the incident, inquiries surrounding the circumstances of Bell's demise are ongoing. Officials from the park service are working closely with the Clark County Medical Examiner's Office to ascertain the cause of death and other pertinent details which may illuminate the events leading up to the recovery of Bell's body.
