Hey folks, here's a tidbit of community news for you: The playground at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park is officially getting a makeover. For those of you with eager kids or a penchant for swings, brace yourself for a temporary pause, because the entire play area is now a no-go zone. The construction, which started recently, is roping off the fun until late fall 2024, according to the Carver County Parks.
The official announcement from Carver County Parks on Facebook gave us the heads up that “the playground is now closed through the completion of the new playground.”
Improvements like these are a fine balance of community anticipation and construction realities. In their post, the parks folks extended their thanks: “We thank you for your patience as we make these exciting updates to the park!” as stated by the Carver County Parks.
