Specifically, the closure affects the northbound Route 222 off-ramp at the Brownstown/Rothsville/Route 772 exit, says PennDOT.
Preparations for concrete repairs are the cause, with the off-ramp slated for concrete saw cutting the contractor is performing which will shut things down from roughly 8 PM to 6 AM today Monday, August 5, and tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 6, Provided the weather doesn't throw a wrench in the works, as per the PennDOT. A detour will guide northbound travelers to continue to the Ephrata/Route 322 exit, then make a southerly return on Route 222 to reach the Brownstown/Rothsville/Route 772 exit.
Completion of this segment is in sight for those headed north, including the northbound ramps at the Route 772 Interchange—that’s looking to wrap up before this year bows out, while southbound updates, including their respective interchange ramps, should finish up next year, in the grand scheme laid out by New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., this $8,486,591 project is on track to be final by October 20, 2025, the crew has been diligently laying the groundwork for improved infrastructure.
