Residents and patrons in League City looking to enjoy a quiet read or need to access community resources at the local library during the Labor Day weekend will have to make alternative arrangements. According to an announcement from the City of League City's official website, the library will be closed from Saturday, August 31 through Monday, September 2 in observance of Labor Day.
The closure means that all services typically available at the library, including book checkouts, community events, and public computer access, will be temporarily unavailable. However, digital services are expected to remain accessible, so patrons can still enjoy e-books and other online resources. The decision to shut the doors during this period allows staff members to also participate in the nationwide celebration of workers and their contributions.
"We'll reopen on Tuesday, September 3 as usual," the statement on the website notes, confirming that normal hours and services will resume after the holiday weekend.
