The Leesburg Police Department recently announced the arrest of Patricia Kinchens and Breanna Lopez, the mother, and sister respectively of Alex Lopez, a 25-year-old male accused of a fatal shooting at a convenience store in Leesburg. According to ClickOrlando, these two women are facing charges of accessory after the fact of premeditated murder among other counts. Alex Lopez is allegedly responsible for the robbery and murder of Raied “Ray” Shihadeh, a 51-year-old convenience store clerk during an armed robbery that took place back in May.
The Leesburg Police Department is still searching for Kaili Dupuis, the girlfriend of Alex Lopez. Lopez, who is charged with the murder of Shihadeh, was found near Kissimmee about a month after the crime. His mother and sister were arrested on Thursday for allegedly helping him avoid capture. Shihadeh was on a call with his wife during the shooting, adding a personal and disturbing element to the case, according to FOX 35 Orlando.
Police have captured Alex Lopez after publicizing his photos led to tips from his cousin, an acquaintance, and police officers. They are now asking the public to help find Kaili Dupuis, urging anyone with information about her location to come forward.
"He was there working hard for his family," his wife Monique Shihadeh said in an earlier interview with FOX 35 Orlando. "And this scum of the earth came in and took him from us." Police are now asking for the community's help in bringing justice to the remaining suspect, steering their investigative ship toward closure as they search for Dupuis.
The charges levied against the accomplices of Alex Lopez include accessory after the fact of premeditated murder and armed robbery with a firearm, as well as possession of a firearm/ammo by a convicted felon and weapon display/use during a felony. If anyone has information about Kaili Dupuis, they are encouraged to contact the Leesburg Police Department at 352-787-2121 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
