The City of Lewisville is gearing up for its distinctively Western-themed procession, the Huffines Auto Dealerships Lewisville Cattle Drive Parade, a lead-up to the much-anticipated PBR Lewisville event. Those looking to participate in the parade, which is set for September 14 at 4 p.m., have been invited to submit their applications through an online portal dedicated to the parade festivities. A colorful cavalcade will commence its march from Cowan Avenue, make its way down Main Street to Mill Street, before ultimately turning northward and concluding at the Bill Weaver Arena, celebrating both the city's cowboy culture and its veterans, as per details by the City of Lewisville.
Adherence to thematic decoration guidelines is a must for entries, with the city mandating that all vehicles and floats must show off decor on a minimum of two sides, covering at least 50 percent of their visible surface; this does, however, exclude select vehicles such as vintage cars, and those used by public safety officials and the military according to the City of Lewisville. Commercial entrants are permitted to deck their floats with their logos or business names, but they must still strictly comply with the half-decoration rule established.
Once the parade concludes, families in attendance can anticipate a pre-event concert, access to food trucks, and other various activities, with more details to follow as the event date approaches, the family-oriented prelude winds down at 6 p.m., setting the stage for the PBR Lewisville event's 7:30 p.m. kickoff. At this event, spectators will witness PBR Challenger Series athletes vying for glory and the right to join the elite Unleash the Beast tour, starkly highlighting the grit and dream that drives these competitors to hone their craft on such a public proving ground, as conveyed by the City of Lewisville.
