Leadership and law enforcement confluence in Lewisville, where local police officers and their counterparts from other agencies have just bolstered their leadership toolkit. The FBI-LEEDA Supervisor Leadership Institute, a program tailored to the needs of first-line supervisors and mid-level managers, wrapped up a 4-and-a-half-day course, culminating last Friday.
The event, hosted by the Lewisville Police Department and Chief Brook Rollins, brought together seasoned leaders in law enforcement, intent on sharing their experiences. In what was described by the department's Facebook page as "another great training," the participants engaged in various activities—from personality assessments to risk management strategies—designed to fortify their command abilities.
"The Supervisor Leadership Institute faculty members are senior law enforcement leaders who are committed to passing on their lessons learned," stated the Lewisville Police Department in their announcement. This commitment is showcased in the courses that emphasize facilitator-led dialogues and a focus on tangible group work, ensuring that lessons go beyond theoretical musings.
