These initiatives are supported by organizations including the Korean American Development and Advancement Foundation (KADAF), the Korean Intermarriage Women's Association (KIMWA), and the Korean Women's Association of North Texas (KWANT), which focus on empowering both the youth and the diverse populace of the region.
Last week, two notable members of the Lewisville Police Department family embraced the honor of being selected as the scholarship recipient. According to the Lewisville Police Department, Jordan Rodriguez, who is the daughter of Commander Mayes, and Madeleine Marlar-Pavey, the wife of Crime Analyst Ashley Pavey, have been awarded $1000 each as a part of the scholarship program aimed at fostering leadership, community service, and strong character among college freshmen and current students in good academic standing.
