Starting this weekend, the center will operate exclusively during the weekends, Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., in response to the Lewisville ISD's schools' session commencement on Tuesday, August 13. According to the City of Lewisville, this change is due to the predictable plunge in weekday visitors and the scarcity of lifeguards, who are predominantly students.
The last chance to enjoy the aquatic amenities is Sunday, September 1, just before the proverbial pool gates close for the season. The reduction in staff might mean, some of the center’s attractions may not be operational during the remaining weekends. Before packing those swim trunks and heading to the park, residents are urged to call 972.210.3550 to check on the availability of specific features.
Admission rates remain as inviting as the cool waters of Sun Valley's pools: $4 for Lewisville dwellers, $5 for those residing outside the area, and a generous offer of free entry for tots aged 2 and under. This gesture ensures the facility stays accessible for families, local and visiting alike, as the sun drapes its warm but waning glow over Lewisville's summer backdrop.
