Long Beach is on the hunt for an operator to helm its brand-new outdoor amphitheater, as reported by the City of Long Beach's official press release. Nestled next to the illustrious Queen Mary and Harry Bridges Memorial Park, the forthcoming Long Beach Bowl aspires to be a crown jewel in the city's entertainment and cultural scene. According to the City of Long Beach, "The new Long Beach Bowl will be an iconic music venue on our beautiful waterfront that will highlight the spirit and culture of our community and will bring people together for concerts and festivals, further enhancing our landscape and stimulating our local economy."

The future venue, sprawling five to six acres on Queens Highway, is geared up to accommodate as many as 12,000 attendees. It's destined to attract an international roster of talent and thousands of visitors, energizing not just the city's culture but also its economic pulse. The city's Economic Development Department released the request for proposals (RFP) today, laying out the expectations for the winning bid to ensure the venue operates at full throttle by managing day-to-day operations, events, and marketing efforts, as per the City of Long Beach.

In terms of logistics, potential operators have until 11 a.m. on September 24, to toss their hat into the ring, with the RFP open for submission through the city's procurement system, Long Beach Buys. City staff has also arranged for an optional pre-proposal meeting slated for 9 a.m. on Aug. 14, for those with additional inquiries, as detailed by the City of Long Beach.
