Los Angeles residents can look forward to a stretch of sunny days, with temperature forecasts suggesting a continued warm period as summer starts to technically wind down. The National Weather Service has provided an extended forecast that indicates highs will remain in the 80s and low 90s for the upcoming week. Today, the city will enjoy a high near 84 degrees, with light winds picking up in the afternoon.
Tonight's weather is expected to stay mostly clear, maintaining a low of around 64 degrees. The pattern of sunny days and clear nights is set to continue through Labor Day, which is a boon for those planning to spend the last holiday of the season outdoors. The National Weather Service forecasts Sunday's temperatures will climb up to nearly 88 degrees, and by Labor Day, the high is expected to reach nearly 91 degrees. However, there's anticipation for slightly warmer evenings starting Sunday night with the low stubbornly staying at around 66 degrees.
Tuesday and Wednesday are both predicted to remain sunny with highs again touching the 91 and 93-degree marks respectively. Evenings throughout the week are expected to bring only slight relief from the heat with lows inching up from 67 degrees on Monday night to around 69 degrees by Wednesday night.
As the week progresses, the heat intends to persist, with Thursday and Friday mirroring Wednesday's temperatures. Both days will likely see a high near 93 degrees, while nighttime conditions will evolve to be a tad warmer; Thursday night is projected to bring a low around 70 degrees.
