A fatal vehicle collision was reported by the Modesto Police Department, occurring yesterday afternoon which resulted in the death of one man, cited from both ABC10 and KCRA. The incident took place near McHenry and Standiford avenues in Modesto, with emergency responders dispatched at around 1:29 p.m. to the scene.
Upon their arrival, a Nissan 350Z was discovered having collided with a parked utility van before resting on the lawn of an apartment complex, the vehicle was unoccupied save for the driver, a Modesto man with extensive injuries who despite being quickly transported to a local hospital, succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased. Investigators are probing into the cause of the crash, though as of now, there remains no evidence to suggest whether intoxicating substances played a role; the Modesto Police Department has yet to rule out possible contributing factors.
