Early Monday morning, a man was fatally shot in Parkway Village, leading to an investigation by the Memphis Police Department. According to Local Memphis, the incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. at the intersection of American Way and Cherry Road where police found the man with a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead on the scene.
"Officers found the victim and he was pronounced dead at the scene. This is an ongoing investigation," as stated by Action 5 News.
Additionally, when the team from WREG arrived at the location, their observation revealed a burned car that had gone into a ditch nearby, a silent witness to the morning's grim events, and Memphis Police's statement, indicating the complexity of the scene they encountered.
