
A shooting in Knoxville has sparked a police investigation after a man was found with a gunshot wound to the thigh earlier this afternoon. The Pittsburgh Police responded to an alert just after 1 p.m. in the 100 block of Charles Street, according to the official Public Safety blotter. The injured man, an adult male, was quickly tended to by Mount Oliver Police, who were first on the scene.
The officers provided emergency medical care, applying a tourniquet to the wound until Pittsburgh EMS arrived. The victim was then transported to the hospital, where he is listed in critical, but stable condition.
