
Early Monday morning, tragedy struck near Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas where a man was killed in a hit-and-run incident. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was on the scene shortly after the occurrence at approximately 3:09 a.m., as was first reported by FOX5 Vegas. Officers found the victim in the roadway on Paradise and Tropicana, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are asking people to avoid southbound Paradise between Harmon and Tropicana while they investigate. The details of the crash are still being reviewed, but the vehicle involved was missing when police arrived, so it's being treated as a hit-and-run.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the police's special team is leading the investigation. The victim, a man whose name has not been released yet, received medical help but unfortunately did not survive. The incident caused road closures around Paradise southbound between Harmon and Tropicana. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are investigating the man's death and are asking anyone with information to come forward to help solve the case.
