
A fatal shooting occurred late Saturday evening in southwest Houston after a confrontation outside a local food truck turned deadly. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. near the 6200 block of Chimney Rock. According to FOX 26 Houston, three men approached the victim at the food truck, requesting $20. The victim, having claimed he would retrieve the money, returned from a nearby apartment not with cash but, with a pistol in hand.
As reported by CW39, upon his return, the victim pointed the gun at the three men; however, he did not fire. The men responded by drawing their own weapons and shot the victim multiple times, which resulted in his death at the scene. The suspects then fled on foot in a westerly direction on Elm Street.
While one of the suspects has been identified by the Houston police, no arrests have been announced up to this point. The investigation is ongoing and authorities are seeking public assistance. Anyone with information related to the shooting is encouraged to come forward.
