A late-night fire in North Braddock claimed the life of a man, as emergency services responded to a blaze in a residential duplex. According to WPXI, the incident occurred at an intersection on North Avenue and Anderson Street, with crews being called to the scene at approximately 11:22 p.m. on Tuesday.
The fire, which preliminarily appears accidental, led to the unfortunate demise of an individual who was unable to escape the inferno, the fire chief confirmed that a husband and wife residing on the other side of the duplex managed to evacuate without harm, the gravity of the situation is underscored by the loss of life and the narrow escape of the couple.
Simultaneously, a related report provided by CBS News stated that the Allegheny County Police received the alert around 11 p.m., and upon arrival, emergency services discovered an adult man deceased within the home located in the 900 block of North Avenue.
Both Allegheny County Police detectives and the Fire Marshal are diligently working to investigate the cause of the fire.
