
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating a stabbing that took place Sunday in Northeast D.C., where a man was wounded. According to DC News Now, officers responded to the 1700 block of 18th St. NE following reports of the incident. Police discovered the victim, who was still conscious and able to breathe following the attack.

Shortly after the occurrence, MPD revealed that surveillance equipment in the neighborhood captured images of the suspect. The individual sought in connection with the assault is described as approximately 20 years old, and he was seen wearing a long-sleeved navy blue shirt, grey pants, and black and white Nike shoes, as detailed by DC News Now.
As reported by WUSA9, The MPD is utilizing its new Real Time Crime Center resources to disseminate images of the alleged perpetrator. The suspect, further described as having short, twisted hair, was reportedly armed with a knife during the last sighting.
