Last night, the tranquility of Pittsburgh's streets was breached when a man was stabbed in what appears to be another notch in the tally of urban violence. According to a report from the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 responded to a call at about 9:30 p.m. They arrived at Jumonville Street at Fifth Avenue to find a male with a stab wound to his leg.
The report detailed that the injured man remained conscious and was able to communicate with the officers and medics on the scene before he was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
In their effort to peel back the layers of this violent incident, officers discovered the crime scene across Fifth Avenue on the 2000 block of Wyandotte Street. The Pittsburgh Police Department's Mobile Crime Unit was summoned to process evidence.
