Police in Pittsburgh's East Allegheny neighborhood responded to a shooting incident that left one man with a gunshot wound. According to the Pittsburgh Public Safety Blotter, the call came in around 4:30 p.m., leading officers to the intersection of Nash Street and Virgin Way where the victim was found.
Despite the emergency, the wounded man, an adult male, was alert and communicated with first responders before being transported to a local hospital by Pittsburgh EMS, in stable condition. However, the victim was less cooperative in providing information to the police about the circumstances of the shooting.
Zone 1 officers, first on the scene, secured the area, and the Mobile Crime Unit arrived shortly thereafter to comb the scene for evidence.
Given the ongoing nature of the investigation and the silence of the victim, authorities have not yet released any suspect information to the public. Witnesses who might have seen anything unusual moments before the shots rang out have not been identified until now.
