In a recent incident, gunfire erupted in Marin City, leaving at least two people wounded. The Marin County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 200 Drake Avenue, according to a press release. Authorities arrived on the scene to find evidence of a shooting and a large group of people present but discovered little willingness from witnesses to provide helpful information.
One of the victims, suffering from a head wound, was found near the scene and appeared to be linked to the incident. This individual was sent to a hospital, treated, and subsequently released. Another victim had already been privately transported to a facility with a gunshot wound and is currently in stable condition and expected to fully recover. The Sheriff's Office is keen to investigate the violent crime thoroughly.
The lack of cooperative witnesses has been a setback in the investigation. Nevertheless, the Sheriff's office has not given up in their quest for answers and justice. "The Marin County Sheriff’s Office is committed to the thorough and complete investigation of violent crimes such as this shooting on Sunday morning", they stated.
