
The Maui Police Department is actively seeking help from the public to locate Marina Bonofiglio, a 33-year-old resident of Kahului who went missing early Sunday morning. According to a Facebook post from the Maui Police Department, Bonofiglio was last heard from around 4 a.m. when she requested a ride from Pulehu Road, just northwest of the Central Maui Landfill. Although her personal items were found abandoned at the scene, those who came to pick her up could not find her.
In their social media appeal, the Maui Police Department confirmed, "Ms. Bonofiglio was reported missing on Sunday, August 25, by a friend" her belongings were discovered strewn along the side of the road, but a subsequent search in the vicinity turned up no trace of her. Her worrying disappearance, underscored by the fact that she does not own a vehicle, has deepened concerns for her safety among friends and the local community.
Described by authorities as Caucasian, 5-foot-4 in height, weighing approximately 115 pounds with brown hair and eyes, Bonofiglio's last known attire remains unknown. The Maui Police Department has urged anyone who may have information regarding Bonofiglio's whereabouts to come forward.
