Relief sweeps through the community as the Maui Police Department reports that 14-year-old Noah Aliksa, who was previously reported as a runaway juvenile, has been found in good health. In a recent update to their Facebook page, shared by the Maui Police Department, the authorities thank the public for their aid in the search for Noah. The young teen had been missing since August 9, when he ran away from his temporary residence in Lahaina.
Before his safe retrieval, Noah was last seen on August 13 near the Hawaiian Homes area of Waiehu, prompting a widespread effort to locate him. He had been described as a Hawaiian male, 5-foot-7 in height, weighing 140 pounds, with black hair, light brown eyes, and was wearing a grey shirt, grey shorts, and carrying a maroon JanSport backpack, along with a black shirt covering his hair. The details of his physical appearance and clothing had been emphasized next to the call for the public's help, hoping it would facilitate a swift solution for the family anxiously awaiting news on Noah's whereabouts.
In the efforts to find him, the Maui Police Department had urged anyone with information about Noah's disappearance to come forward. According to a previous Hoodline article, the police had emphasized that "any tip, no matter how seemingly insignificant, could provide the key necessary for resolving the case." This community engagement strategy highlighted the importance of each potential detail that might have led to Noah's safe return.
