The incident, which occurred on August 4th at approximately 10 PM at the Braintree Station, has been the subject of an ongoing investigation. Officials released a statement on MBTA Transit Police X's official website with a request for assistance: "ID Sought re: Larceny of Electric Scooter investigation. 8/4 10PM #MBTA Braintree Station. Recognize this person of interest? Pls contact our CIU at 617-222-1050 w/any info. You can remain anonymous. TY."
This recent theft adds to a string of similar occurrences targeting personal electric scooters, which have become increasingly popular within urban settings.
