Memphis Police are actively investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place in the Frayser neighborhood. The incident began with gunfire at a gas station and escalated to a police chase and subsequent foot pursuit, resulting in one suspect injured and in custody, while three others remain at large, as reported by FOX13 Memphis.

According to WREG, around 4:41 p.m. Monday, a Memphis Police officer observed multiple suspects in a white Ford sedan opening fire at the EZ Shop on Frayser Boulevard. Police tried unsuccessfully to stop the vehicle before it eventually pulled over, leading two suspects to suddenly flee on foot, with one of them reportedly armed.

During the foot chase, an officer discharged their firearm. Deputy Chief Don Crowe stated at a media briefing that "the officer did fire one shot at the suspect," however, the targeted individual has not been located, as per FOX 13 Memphis

The officers sustained non-critical injuries, described by Crowe as consistent with intense physical pursuit efforts, and were treated at Regional One Hospital. "Their injuries are consistent with foot pursuits through backyards, fences and drainage ditches," Crowe told WREG. A firearm was also recovered near the chase scene, according to reports.

Officers have described the suspects: one in a black hoodie and black pants, and the second in a white shirt and gray pants, last seen driving away in the white Ford with a partial Tennessee tag of BRT. As the manhunt continues, the Memphis Police urge anyone with information to come forward and contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
