On Monday morning, a woman was reportedly fatally stabbed at a Walmart in Lake Elsinore, sparking a swift response from local law enforcement. A statement released by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, posted on their official website, indicates that deputies were called to the 29000 block of Central Avenue around 7:00 A.M. after receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, they found 65-year-old Jessica Morales from Menifee, who had sustained multiple stab wounds. Efforts to save Morales were made, but she was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect in the case, identified as 29-year-old Lonnie Hinton from Wildomar, later turned himself in at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, as per the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Hinton, who was on active parole after being released from state prison earlier this year, was promptly arrested and charged with murder.
