The Metropolitan Police Department is reaching out to the public for help in identifying four individuals connected with an armed carjacking that took place early in the morning last month in Northwest Washington D.C. According to a press release posted on the MPD's website, the incident occurred on the 400 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest, where suspects, after approaching in a dark-colored vehicle, commandeered the victim's car at gunpoint.

The response came after a distress call was made to authorities at about 4:55 a.m. on July 7. The victim described the situation as one assailant taking control of his vehicle while another pointed a firearm in his direction, after which the suspects fled with his automobile, fortunately, the stolen vehicle was located and recovered on the same day. In a bid to apprehend those responsible, the MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
