Residents in Midlothian looking to foster stronger community bonds and promote neighborhood safety have an opportunity to do so—as National Night Out approaches. The Midlothian Police Department has announced a planning meeting today at 6:30 pm, for those neighborhoods yet to register for the yearly event aimed at enhancing the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement.
According to the Midlothian Police Department, unregistered neighborhoods are urged to sign up via a provided link. The initiative, which has become a staple in communities across America, seeks to bring residents together under the warm veil of local camaraderie and safety. Additionally, the department is still looking for sponsors, an indication of the program's growing need for community support and involvement.
Officer Curtis Hughes, a point of contact for the event, has encouraged those with questions or interests in sponsorship to reach out through his email, [email protected]. The National Night Out event not only aims to build safer neighborhoods but also strives to create a space where the police and citizens can meet under positive circumstances, to build trust and collaboration.
