In Morrison County, a routine traffic stop has culminated in the arrest of two individuals for alleged drug possession. The sheriff's office disclosed that a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 10 near Cushing, MN, in the early hours of August 20 after spotting a violation. The deputy's suspicion of illegal drug activity prompted a K-9 unit scan of the vehicle, which reportedly signaled the presence of narcotics.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reported that after the K-9 alert the deputies searched the vehicle and discovered several hypodermic needles along with packages of methamphetamine. This led to the arrest of 27-year-old Reba Lego from Grand Forks, ND, and 43-year-old Toni Myhre from Mahnomen, MN, both occupants of the vehicle were detained at the Morrison County Jail awaiting formal charges.
The seized drugs, totaling over five ounces of methamphetamine, were lauded by Sheriff Larsen as a meaningful stride toward community safety.
