Officers of the Metropolitan Police Department swiftly apprehended a man connected to a reported robbery that occurred early Wednesday in Northwest DC. The robbery took place on the 1100 block of T Street, Northwest, at around 12:30 a.m., according to a statement from the MPD.
A woman was assaulted by two attackers who took her possessions before escaping. Fortunately, she was not harmed. Shortly following the robbery, MPD officers were able to locate, and arrest one of the suspects in the vicinity. Named in the case is 33-year-old Rynell Epps from the Northwest section of the district, who now faces charges of Robbery (Force and Violence).
The investigation into the incident continues as detectives work to identify the second suspect involved. The MPD urges anyone with information to come forward and assist by either calling (202) 727-9099 or texting the tip line at 50411. The department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for details leading to the arrest and indictment of those behind the crime.
