
The Metropolitan Police Department is actively seeking information regarding a suspect involved in a fatal shooting that occurred in Southeast Washington. Newly released footage reveals the individual believed to be responsible for the death of 38-year-old Davon Mangum.
According to the MPD's release, the incident took place early in the morning on August 3. Police were summoned to the 1500 block of Butler Street, Southeast, after reports of gunfire. They discovered Mangum with lethal injuries in an apartment complex parking lot. The victim, identified as a resident of Southeast, died at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police Department urges anyone with information about this homicide to come forward. They are hopeful that the surveillance video released will aid in the identification and apprehension of the suspected perpetrator.
