Tragedy struck at a busy Las Vegas intersection when two vehicles collided, leaving multiple people injured, some critically. According to a report by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, at roughly 4:01 p.m. on August 7, a life-threatening crash involving a 2024 Honda Accord and a 2013 BMW 750 occurred at the junction of E. Tropicana Avenue and Andover Drive.
Per the findings at the scene and video evidence, it was determined the Honda, with five occupants, was speeding eastward on E. Tropicana Avenue as the BMW attempted a left turn onto Andover Drive. The front of the speeding Honda thus collided with the BMW's right front. All of the Honda's occupants were taken to Sunrise Trauma, where one of them, a juvenile, remains in a life-threatening condition, two juveniles and an adult are critical, and one juvenile has serious injuries. The information was collected from the scene by the officers, arriving medical personnel have transported all the victims to the hospital.
The driver of the Honda, identified as 31-year-old Andy Garcia, and a passenger, 30-year-old Jessica Williams, are among the critically injured. Two juvenile passengers also faced critical injuries, while another, aged 12, is seriously injured. The BMW's driver, 43-year-old Tyson Harper, remained on-site and showed no signs of impairment.
