Scheduled this year for October 1, Communities across the nation are invited to join in on this tradition, which aims to make neighborhoods safer and more connected. By hosting block parties, cookouts, and various interactive events, neighborhoods invite the very officials charged with their safety to break bread under the more convivial skies.
