
A tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of a young man in Stark County early yesterday morning. According to Cleveland 19 News, the crash occurred around 12:40 a.m. in the 6800 block of Shepler Church Ave. SW in Bethlehem Township, taking the life of 24-year-old Devin Wile of Navarre.
The Stark County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene following reports of a vehicular accident. Upon arrival, they discovered that Wile's motorcycle had collided with a tree that lay across the roadway, as was reported by WKYC. Despite wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Wile was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sheriff's office has not provided further details on the circumstances leading to the tree's fall across the road or if additional factors played a role in the accident. "They found that Devin Wile had been southbound on Shepler Church when his motorcycle hit the tree," Sheriff George T. Maier said in a prepared statement, a detail confirmed by The Canton Repository.
