Attention all basketball fans and energetic kids! the Youth Basketball League is coming to Das Rec Gymnasium. According to a City of New Braunfels announcement yesterday, this league is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball with a strong focus on skill development and sportsmanship. It's not just about the excitement of the game; it’s also about building connections and staying active. Plus, scholarships are available, making it easier for families to participate without worrying about costs.
The league is organized by age groups, from the little Mighty Mites to the tween Major Leaguers. Each player will receive their own uniform, and practices are scheduled during prime-time slots from Monday to Thursday. Note that there will be no practice on MLK Day and President’s Day.
The organizers have set up an 8-week season for early birds starting January 6, and another for spring athletes beginning March 24. Registration opens on October 1. Fees are $135 for younger players and $185 for older ones, with a discount available for coaches. The league will follow TAAF and local rules to ensure fair play for everyone.
