The City of Blaine's Parks and Recreation department is rolling out the welcome mat for a fresh face at the Mary Ann Young Center. Amanda Alms has stepped in as the new senior center manager, and locals are encouraged to pop by and acquaint themselves with her. The City of Blaine announced Alms' arrival, noting her eagerness to not only meet the regulars but also to gather input on their preferred leisure pursuits within the senior center's walls.
Alms has a strong background with a degree from the University of Minnesota and 25 years of experience in recreation facilities in Minnesota and Texas. She specializes in creating fitness and wellness programs for seniors. She's eager to offer many social activities, learning opportunities, and events to keep Blainers engaged. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and biking with family and friends, as detailed by the City of Blaine.
