An infant tragedy unfolded in northwest Harris County where a deceased newborn baby boy was found discarded in a residential trash bin. The Harris County Sheriff's Office confirmed the macabre discovery was made by waste collection workers servicing the neighborhood around the 13200 block of Fountain Crest Drive, as reported by Click2Houston.
The workers, who were carrying out their routine collection on Wednesday, encountered a newborn baby and upon this disturbing find, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez swiftly announced that investigators were heading to the scene. According to a post from the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the baby was discovered amongst the collected trash waste in the Chimney Hills neighborhood, near N. Eldridge Pkwy.

Investigations are ongoing. Officials have yet to release further details about potential leads or the conditions surrounding the infant's death.
