
Early this morning, an empty truck was struck by a Union Pacific train in Harris County. The collision took place at the intersection of Hartwick Road and Hirsch Road, FOX 26 Houston specified that authorities were present on the scene to carry out the necessary investigations.
An 18-wheeler's encounter with the train occurred in northeast Harris County and despite the potential severity of such a crash, it was confirmed that the heavy truck was unoccupied at the time, and no individuals were harmed, according to information provided by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies, as reported by Click2Houston.
The incident has not deterred the workings of the Union Pacific train services nor the functions of the local roads around the area of the accident, although there may be ongoing disruptions as the investigation progresses. Local authorities are cautioning drivers to be aware of the surroundings and adhere to traffic rules, especially near train crossings.
