Chicago's very own O'Hare International Airport has snatched the 'Favorite Airport Dining' award for the fifth consecutive year, as announced by the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA). The prestigious nod comes from Trazee Travel and is part of the 10th annual Trazees Awards, held in Nashville, Tenn. CDA Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee proudly accepted the award, affirming O'Hare's dedication to elevating the travel experience for its patrons.
"This Trazee Travel award reaffirms O’Hare's commitment to providing a first-class experience for busy travelers," Rhee stated, as per the City of Chicago. The award reflects the travelers' satisfaction with dining options that echo the high standards of Chicago itself. Trazee Travel, a publication aimed at younger travelers aged between 25-40, confers these awards based on its readers' votes in numerous categories.
In the realm of accolades, O'Hare has been on a hot streak, bagging several other industry recognitions. The airport was named Best Airport in North America by Global Traveler magazine and topped the OAG Megahubs 2023 Index for US Domestic Megahub flight connectivity, according to the City of Chicago. Further, the American Institute of Architects acknowledged the architectural excellence of Terminal 5's extension by bestowing The Capital Award.
