According to details provided by the Massachusetts State Police, the operator of the moped, now identified as 41-year-old Julia Harris of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, seems to have lost control, crossing the median into the path of the oncoming Jeep, which led to the fatal crash, the moped's passenger, a 40-year-old woman from Boston, despite the traumatic event is now in stable condition, and both had been wearing helmets in accordance with safety regulations. Meanwhile, the Jeep's 41-year-old operator from Newark, New Jersey, miraculously did not sustain injuries from the collision, although one of the four other passengers in the Jeep suffered minor injuries.
