Officer Evans has been promoted to the role of Sergeant, a testament to his comprehensive career in law enforcement which commenced on July 30, 2012. The Plano Texas Police Department heralded the promotion, congratulating Evans on his ascent.

Having honed his skills in the Patrol, High Visibility Enforcement, and Traffic Units, Evans is a local to the north Texas area, with his academic roots planted firmly in the University of Texas in Arlington where he graduated with a Kinesiology Bachelor of Arts degree. Inside the Traffic Unit, as a certified accident reconstructionist, his recent assignment involved unraveling the complexities of hit-and-run incidents.

Sergeant Evans' contributions to the department extend beyond field operations. From 2015 till 2023, he molded new officers as a Field Training Officer and currently is part of the esteemed Honor Guard team. His expertise in law enforcement education is clear, serving as a TCOLE and DWI SFST instructor from 2016 and partaking in the DWI instruction of the Collin County Prosecutors Citizens Academy.

As part of his decorated career, Evans achieved his Master Peace Officer license in January 2022, which stands as the pinnacle of certification for Texas Peace Officers. And accruing numerous commendations, he was distinguished with an Officer of the Year award in 2018 and additionally, has received an Excellence in Problem-Solving award, a Safe Driving award, along with multiple Chief Unit, Meritorious Service awards, and not least eleven Advanced Physical Fitness awards.
