A man is on the run after whipping up a theft at a Bath and Body Works store last month, and now officials are asking for the public's help to track him down.

Authorities say the incident unfolded on July 18 at the retailer's location in the 28000 block of the Northwest Freeway, when the suspect, subsequently identified as Devonte Malone, reportedly hid merchandise worth north of $1,200 and exited the store without paying. According to a post on Facebook by the office of Constable Mark Herman, the deputies arrived at the scene only to discover that Malone had already fled.

Following what was described as a thorough investigation by the Constable's deputies, they have now put out a call for assistance to locate Malone, who is wanted for theft. "Devonte Malone is currently wanted for Theft. If you have information regarding his whereabouts, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement," the Constable was quoted in the Facebook post.
