
Philadelphia law enforcement is currently investigating a double shooting in Logan that tragically left one man dead and another injured on Monday evening. FOX29 reports that the incident occurred near the 4700 block of North 11th Street intersection at around 8:12 p.m.
Pronounced at the scene, the 41-year-old victim was found to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body. The effort to bring him back was to no avail. He was declared deceased before medics could even try to save his life. As detailed by PHL17, there remains a standing reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in homicides across the city, now including this recent act of violence - the sum amounting to $20,000.
Another victim, an unidentified man, was found with a gunshot wound to the back and was quickly transported to Einstein Hospital by private means, as conveyed by NBC Philadelphia. As of 7 a.m. yesterday, details on his condition have not been released.
Witnesses observed a male suspect exit a two-door gray vehicle and discharge multiple shots before fleeing in the vehicle north toward Louden Street, according to the preliminary investigations. No weapons were found on site, and no suspects have been taken into custody as of yet. The police have asked for public assistance, urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Philadelphia Police Department's Homicide Unit or to call or text their tip line.
